Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC)

Summary:  Generally used as an umbrella term for any apparent communication from nonphysical sources, manifesting through technological or other instrumentational means.  This includes but is not limited to audio material captured on magnetic or digital media (electronic voice phenomena or EVP); video material captured on film, videotape or digital media; messages received anomalously on computers, telephone answering devices, fax machines etc.; and imagery found through ordinary artifacts such as glassware or mirrors.

Evidential Characteristics: 
- Offers hard physical evidence (audio/video recordings, photographs etc.), though the evidence is typically open to interpretation
- Can be utilized by anyone; some users appear to be more effective at ITC captures than others
