  Near-Death Experience   

 
Near-Death Experience (NDE)

Summary:    Phenomena occurring in certain individuals who come close to or reach clinical death, then are later resuscitated, during which they may experience being out of body, traveling through a tunnel toward a light, meeting deceased relatives and/or other nonphysical beings, and a ‘life review’.

Evidential Characteristics: 
- Virtually all available NDE evidence is anecdotal from those who claim to have experienced them
- Details of events occurring in both immediate and more distant environments are commonly reported when the individual had no access or conscious awareness of them
